چکیده
Background: Opium consumption is associated with increased risk of atherosclerosis and a hyper-inflammatory state which are suggested as contributing factors to the development coronary artery ectasia (CAE). We aimed determine if opium an independent factor CAE. This study explore relationship between Methods: In this propensity score-matched study, we enrolled patients who underwent elective angiography September 2004 March 2017 in Tehran Heart Center. studied CAE without disease (CAD) cases. The control group, normal angiograms, were selected after applying score matching match for age, sex, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, family history disease, cigarette smoking. Results: 242 pure 968 patients. prevalence was not significantly different across these groups: 17 (7.5%) group compared 76 (8.6%) (Odds ratio: 0.81; P=0.455). Amongst CAE, Markis scores consumers non-consumers (P=0.136). Conclusion: found no significant difference regarding those angiograms. addition, there correlation

A Propensity Score Analysis of Renal Dysfunction in Patients after On-Pump and Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
INTRODUCTION- Cardiovascular disease has emerged as a major health burden worldwide with coronary artery disease [CAD] causing highest mortality and morbidity. Coronary revascularization is the preferred treatment for patients with multivessel CAD. Based on the application of cardiopulmonary bypass [CPB], Coronary revascularization can be on-pump [OPCAB] or off-pump [CABG].The CPB is known to h...
متن کاملFive-year clinical outcomes in patients with significant coronary artery spasm: A propensity score-matched analysis.
BACKGROUND Coronary artery spasm (CAS) is known to be a risk factor of acute coronary syndrome and angina pectoris. However, there is no currently available data with larger study population regarding long-term clinical outcomes of CAS in real world clinical practice. OBJECTIVES We evaluated the prevalence of CAS and the impact of CAS on 5-year clinical outcomes in a series of Asian CAS patie...
متن کاملCoronary artery calcium (CAC) score – a prognostic tool in coronary artery disease?
Introduction: The aim of this study was to evaluate the impact of measurement of coronary artery calcification score (CAC) in patients with suspected coronary artery disease (CAD) and a normal myocardial perfusion scan. Methods: In a prospective study we measured the calcium score of 74 patients (29 m, 45 f, mean age 58.7 (m) and 64.4 (f)) with suspicion of CAD and a normal perfusion scan. In ...

A 50-year-old Japanese woman with annuloaortic ectasia was found to have total coronary artery ectasia without evident atherosclerosis. The coronary ectasia may have been secondary to or of similar etiology to the annuloaortic ectasia. There was neither stigmata of Marfan's syndrome nor any sign of dissection of the ascending aorta or coronary arteries. Furthermore, the patient was not elderly,...

BACKGROUND Serglycin plays an important role in the inflammatory status, but the relationship between coronary artery ectasia (CAE) and serglycin is still unknown. AIM In this study, we aimed to investigate the association of serglycin level with isolated CAE. METHODS Fifty-two patients with isolated CAE and 35 individuals with normal coronary angiography were included into the study. The M...
